Would you mind wearing your nicest shoes while walking in the woods, following the light across fallen trees, ditches and hills? Well, I did and I ended up with a few scratches, but it was totally worth it.😄
Out in nature I always feel inspired and uplifted, even though it´s difficult to find really wild places in these modern times. My longing for connection with the wild makes me leave the common paths in the woods, letting my intuition take over and guide me.
I love to discover new places, exploring possibilities to get through the thicket, finding hidden water holes in the forest, or even encountering some deer. Rays of sunlight shining through the branches of tall spruces, are spreading their magical light.
Wandering around out in nature also is a journey for mind and soul. As I advanced deeper into the forest, I felt a longing to share the beauty of this experience with others. The words "away from the path" appeared. I decided to record an intuitive song with lyrics, and I asked the spirits for help to find the proper words while singing. This is the way the following song came to life:
Away from the path
you find home Away from the path you find beauty
Away from the path you will find yourself Away from the path You will find beauty you will see
Away from the path you will find new ways Away from the path you will find home and peace
Away from the path you will see what you never saw Away from the path you will be with me you will see
Away from the path you´ll find home Away from all the paths you will find new ways new ways
Away from the path you will sing with the birds Away from the path you will be one, one, one one and all
Away from the path just walk, just move Away from the path just go your own way
Away from the path you will find the beauty of life Away from the path you will be one you will be one
These words came to me while walking in the woods. I found a beautiful little branch looking like a deer´s antler, but one side was broken. Nevertheless I saw it in its full beauty, as it was covered with yellow lichen.
Who am I to judge how it should be? How would I know if it would better be whole and not broken?
The broken branch teached me a lesson and gave me a song. It was a perfect teacher just the way it was.
Even if you feel broken sometimes, the circle of life takes another turn and creates something new. One thing might have to end to make space for something new. Nature is in constant transformation and so are we.
I´m feeling blessed to know so many inspirational people in the www, supperting and motivating wonderful people from all over the world. One of these magical sites is www.wearewildness.com, helping people to reconnect with nature.
Currently I´m doing the "Rewild your life 30 day challenge", spending at least 30 minutes outside in nature every day, with a different task every time. Of course, once I´m out in the woods, 30 minutes for me are never enough. I tend to forget everything about time out there, wandering around where my intuition leads me.
Today´s challenge was to walk barefoot, to reconnect with the earth, feel the ground under my feet. Although it was quite cold outside and I ended up with some really cold feet, I enjoyed this challenge very much.
I found a pond in the woods, where I had never been before; it felt like finding a treasure. There were many tracks from wild animals in the mud. I took my shoes off and made some steps, and at the same time I started singing without even thinking about it.
So I took the microphone and recorded this intuitive song, just a simple song of the moment, while walking around barefoot, by the pond in the woods in wintertime.
Mind and Soul are going for a walk.
Mind is in her state of mind, thinking.
Soul is patiently walking by her side.
Not good enough, Mind says.
Good enough for now, Soul answers.
Never good enough, Mind says.
Good enough right now, Soul answers.
Where will this path lead me?
This place made me sing the song I recorded. I sang intuively in the moment.
While singing I had no intention other than to hear the song of this place at that moment.
The title "Mind and Soul" I came up with later, because it reflects the general mood I was in while walking in the forest that day.
Trees are creating a whole world above our heads. Look up!
Walking in the forest, I always follow the light. It lightens up branches and leaves, parts of tree trunks and the soft moss on the ground, it is reflected by the water in a tiny creek or just by one single water drop.
Light and shadow together transform the forest into a celebration of life, highlighting the beauty all around. Yesterday I went for a long walk in a forest in Lower Austria, the forest of my childhood, as I call it. I absolutely got lost in the beauty of this forest, it was so stunning and magical. I could have stayed there all day, following the light, wandering around away from the path, exploring new places. At one time I just had to thank the forest for it`s beauty and so I held a little speech. I told the forest that I actually felt like being in paradise, because there was beauty everywhere all around. And of course there was not only visual beauty, there were also beautiful sounds from birds singing, delicious fragrance of earth and spruces, the soft touch from walking on moss, the wisdom that is connecting all of life and the holiness of it all. While walking in the forest I sang several songs in the moment, from which I choose to share this one, because it honours the light. This is an intuitive song, recorded in the middle of the forest.
Was gibst du weiter oder was möchtest du weitergeben? Hindert dich etwas daran?
Everything
is blooming and growing
and I want
I wanna grow, too.
Everything
is blooming and growing
and I want
I wanna bloom, too.
